History Fort Lauderdale's "I Am What I Am" Opening Reception
It will be a night to remember at Galleria Fort Lauderdale, as six drag pioneers are celebrated – South Florida’s own Nikki Adams, Tiffany Arieagus, Cathy Craig, Daisy Deadpetals, Electra and Latrice Royale. These treasured performers are being recognized for their longevity, entrepreneurship, roles on local television and international fame. The exhibit will include past and present images, videos, costumes and artifacts that tell the story of their illustrious careers. A prominent "Wall of Fame" will be part of the exhibition, featuring other South Florida drag performers.
Attendees will enjoy one complimentary beverage with the cost of entry, plus delicious bites from LIPS Fort Lauderdale and Tulio's Tacos and Tequila Bar. Libations sponsored in part by Stoli Vodka and Hunters Nightclubs. Special tribute performances by Joanna James, Velvet Lenore and Erika Norell. With special guest hosts Joe Posa as Joan Rivers and Shawn Palacious with DJ Aulden Brown.
The public photo exhibition will be available for viewing, June 1 - 30, at Galleria Fort Lauderdale.
