Am I Eligible?

This program is open to Broward County residents who: 

  • Meet eligibility requirements
  • Have lived in Broward County for at least 6 months
  • Earn less than 80% of the area median income
  • Can provide legal lease or occupancy documents
  • Are facing housing instability, eviction, or sudden loss of income

Note: To qualify for assistance, you must not have already moved or signed a lease, and you must pass a unit inspection by the City of Fort Lauderdale.

How it Works

All clients must complete a screening process and submit documentation, including:

  • Eligibility documents
  • Proof of income
  • Housing documentation (lease, mortgage, or utility bill)
  • Verification of financial hardship

Please note that assistance is not guaranteed and depends on eligibility and funding. Clients must contribute to housing if able, and have a plan for long-term sustainability.
